INTRODUCTION
The data represented in this section was collected as an effort to better understand how clinicians use
guidelines and the frequency for each use case.
We asked clinicians the following questions:
1. "Do clinical practice guidelines add value and/or influence the way you practice medicine?"
2. "How often do you reference clinical practice guidelines for the following use cases?"
a. Decision-support at point of care
b. Quick refresher outside of patient care
c. Training and Education
d. Clinical documentation or billing/coding support
e. Quality measures and quality/performance improvement programs
f. For CME
The following section summarizes the responses and key takeaways regarding guideline usage,
frequency and perceived value and influence.
