BACKGROUND
Research on healthcare professional usage of clinical practice guidelines was conducted through an
online survey that was distributed to over 21,000 clinicians spanning various clinical specialties and age
groups. The survey was sent in October 2022 and remained open until December 2022. The research
resulted in quantitative and qualitative data from 200 clinicians that were then measured, analyzed, and
presented in this whitepaper. Additionally, the results from the 2022 research and survey were compared
to results from similar surveys conducted in past years to identify possible changes in usage and other
potential trends.
