43 Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) Cost Compared to the other antipsychotics, this agent has the highest risk of CNS depression. Potential ADRs: • Anticholinergic effects, blood dyscrasias, extrapyramidal symptoms, hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, hyperprolactinemia, hypothyroidism, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, orthostatic hypotension (falls), QTc prolongation, weight gain. Oral: IR: $ ER: $$ Compared to the other antipsychotics, this agent has the highest risk of extrapyramidal symptoms and hyperprolactinemia. Potential ADRs: • Altered cardiac conduction, anticholinergic effects, blood dyscrasias, CNS depression, dyslipidemia, hyperglycemia, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, orthostatic hypotension (falls), weight gain. $ Compared to the other antipsychotics, this agent has the highest risk of QTc prolongation. Potential ADRs: • Blood dyscrasias, dermatologic reactions (DRESS), dyslipidemia, extrapyramidal symptoms, hyperglycemia, hyperprolactinemia, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, orthostatic hypotension (falls), weight gain. $$
