cell disease there is dilation of the right ventricular (RV) chamber so that it is larger than
the left ventricle (LV) with shift of the interventricular septum into the LV. (B) Doppler
f low of tricuspid regurgitation (demonstrated in blue) from the right ventricle (RV) into
the right atrium (R A). The velocity of this f low is measured and allows for calculation of
an estimated pulmonary artery systolic pressure.
