NALOXONE
ASAM supports broad access to naloxone for individuals
commonly in a position to respond to an opioid overdose.
Naloxone (or Narcan) is an important medication for treating an
opioid overdose. Everyone who may witness an overdose should
have and know how to use this medicine. Encourage friends,
family members, and significant others to have naloxone on hand.
