In EMRS, patients also oen have polyps, increased disease severity, and varied amounts of
eosinophilic mucin, but do not meet the remaining allergic fungal rhinosinusitis (AFRS) diagnostic
criteria. EMRS is oen a more diffuse process with radiographic characteristics such as mucin-filled
sinuses and bone erosion.
