If the event is a known clinical event that has been previously addressed, the specific alert may be programmed OFF and it is no longer considered an actionable event. If this is not a known clinical event, more information is needed about the patient's status. Based on the review of additional information, the alert may be adjusted or programmed OFF. For the care of patients with CIEDs on RM, it is recommended that patients and their caregivers be informed that automatic alerts transmitted by RM do not substitute for an emergency management system. 2a C-EO 2. For the care of patients with CIEDs on RM, it is reasonable for clinics to review and react to high-priority alerts within 1 business day.
